Mechanics

Sometimes extremely dry air (i.e. lower than pressure dew point) is required, for example when control or process air applications are used in the food and beverage industries, as well as in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries. This is made possible with an adsorption dryer with a pressure dew point of –40°C (–70°C optional). There are possible models: a cold–regenerated DAZ adsorption dryer, a cold–regenerated DAZ adsorption dryer with a DCZ activated carbon adsorber, adsorption dryers plus external heated regeneration and vacuum cooling. Compressed air for the most delicate requirements  – is a breathing air for both industrial and medical purposes. In two chambers, the compressed air is passed through the drier after the pressure swing adsorption has removed any pollutants.

Technical characteristics:

  • dew point –40°C (possible up to –70°C);
  • flow: from 0,13 m³/min to 101,67 m³/min;
  • applications: food, chemical and pharmaceutical industries.

Adsorption Dryers: Advanced Moisture Control for Industrial and Medical Applications

When production processes, laboratories, or medical systems require exceptionally dry compressed air, adsorption drying technology provides the most reliable solution. This advanced drying method ensures stable operation even in extremely dry environments, achieving pressure dew points as low as -70°C. Such conditions are essential in applications where even the smallest amount of moisture can disrupt equipment performance, compromise product quality, or interfere with sensitive chemical processes.

For this reason, adsorption air dryers are widely used in industries where eliminating water vapor is critical to maintaining process reliability and product integrity.

Superior Compressed Air Quality

By removing moisture through the adsorption process, adsorption dryers significantly improve compressed air quality in both industrial and medical applications. In manufacturing environments, they protect pneumatic tools, production equipment, products, and piping systems from corrosion, contamination, and moisture-related damage.

In the medical sector, ultra-dry compressed air helps ensure sterility, supports the safe delivery of medical gases, and contributes to the reliable operation of critical equipment. As a result, adsorption dryers have become an essential component of infrastructure in manufacturing facilities, hospitals, laboratories, and other environments where air quality is paramount.

BOGE Adsorption Dryers: Flexible Regeneration Technologies

Among the leading solutions on the market, BOGE adsorption dryers stand out for their efficiency, reliability, and advanced drying performance. BOGE offers two regeneration technologies to meet different operational requirements:

Heatless Regeneration

Heatless adsorption dryers are ideal for standard operating conditions where energy efficiency and low operating costs are key priorities. These systems provide reliable drying performance while maintaining a simple and cost-effective design.

Heated Regeneration

For applications with high compressed air demand, heated regeneration technology delivers maximum drying efficiency and optimized operating performance. This solution is particularly suitable for intensive production environments that require continuous access to ultra-dry compressed air.

Ideal for Food, Chemical, and Pharmaceutical Industries

Adsorption dryers provide significant benefits in industries where moisture control is critical. In food processing, chemical manufacturing, and pharmaceutical production, even small amounts of moisture can alter product properties, trigger unwanted reactions, or compromise hygiene standards.

By delivering consistently dry compressed air, adsorption air dryers help maintain stable production processes, protect product quality, and minimize the risks associated with moisture contamination.

Why Choose an Adsorption Dryer?

Adsorption dryers are the preferred choice for applications that demand exceptionally low dew points and the highest compressed air quality standards. With reliable moisture removal, enhanced equipment protection, and consistent process performance, they help improve operational efficiency, reduce maintenance costs, and ensure long-term reliability across a wide range of industrial and medical applications.
