Why are elastomeric casters best suited for the woodworking industry?

The equipment used in the woodworking industry is constantly moving between cutting, processing and packaging areas, so the casters must be both strong and gentle on surfaces. Elastomeric casters are distinguished by their good surface adaptation, vibration damping and stability even when working with heavier carts or equipment. Due to their elasticity, they more easily overcome small irregularities, thus reducing shocks to both workers and equipment.

How do elastomeric casters protect floors from chip damage?

In woodworking areas, chips, dust and hard wood particles often accumulate on the floor. Due to their softer structure, elastomeric castors do not press them into the floor surface and do not scratch the coating. In addition, they “embrace” small dirt better, so the castor rolls more evenly and the floor surface remains safer. This is an important advantage in workshops where expensive epoxy or varnished floor coverings are used.

What is the difference between elastomeric casters and rubber or polyurethane casters?

Rubber provides good grip but wears out faster in intensive conditions. Polyurethane has high load tolerance but is harder and less suitable for areas subject to constant chipping and vibration. Elastomeric castors maintain the optimal balance between elasticity and strength: they roll quietly, protect floors, collect less dirt and retain their original shape longer.

Do elastomeric casters ensure durability in intensive conditions?

Yes. Thanks to high-quality elastomers, such casters are resistant to chemical woodworking lubricants, temperature changes and constant impacts. They do not crumble, do not lose elasticity and maintain stable rolling even under constant load. Durability and resistance make elastomeric casters an ideal choice for woodworking industry production lines, mobile equipment and transport trolleys.
