Synchronous servo motors
Bosch Rexroth offers the following synchronous servo motor modifications:
MS2N servo motors. More torque, higher speeds, the practical single cable connection and an extensive range of options: The new generation of MS2N motors by Rexroth combines high dynamics with compact dimensions and best energy efficiency. Rotors with low and medium inertia are available with optimum mass customization. For intelligent solutions in the Industry 4.0 environment, MS2N motors serve as data sources.

MS2E servo motors. Practical single–cable connection, more torque and reliable encoder technology: The new generation of MS2E motors offers maximum dynamism and safety in ATEX applications up to equipment group II and equipment category 3 for dust and gas. The self-cooling motors in this series offer overlapping torque ranges with maximum torques of up to 266 Nm in 6 sizes. Thanks to the reliable high-resolution single or multi-turn encoders in SIL2. PLd as well as the optional holding brake or feather key, they are ideal for customized drive solutions in all potentially explosive areas.

MSM servo motors. The maintenance–free motors MSM are available in five sizes up to a mechanical continuous power of 750 watt. The high power density with a short overall length and minimized flange dimensions allow their use in the most diverse applications. The motors in protection type IP54 are equipped with an absolute encoder and can be delivered with or without holding brakes. They are ideal for use with IndraDrive Cs control devices with 3 AC 230 V power supply.

MKE servo motors. The MKE range of motors are specifically designed for use in production plants susceptible to explosive mixtures of air and flammable gases, vapors, mist or dust. Within the broad range of torques up to a maximum of 190 Nm, there is a choice of various motor sizes with pressure–proof enclosures. Needless to say, all are ATEX certified and/or UL/CSA compliant. These motors can also be supplied with a range of options – holding brake, keyway and single- or multi-turn encoder systems.

MSK servo motors. The MSK motor series is particularly distinguished by its broad power range and narrow size increments. The high torque density of these synchronous servo motors facilitates a particularly compact design with maximum torques of up to 495 Nm. We supply the motors with encoder systems for standard or precision requirements depending on the required level of accuracy. Both encoder versions are available in both single-turn and multi-turn design. A wide range of additional options, such as keyway, holding brake and increased concentricity, as well as the high protection type IP65 enable use with a fan, water cooling and ATEX. For applications with increased continuous power, retrofit blower units are available for axial or radial mounting. Intrinsically safe blower motors (UL thermally protected F) with protection type IP65 make the single-phase connectable blower units reliable – i.e. no external protection via a circuit-breaker is required. Maximum performance requirements can be met with the available water cooling option.
