Anti-collision modules

Collisions and overloads on the robot may cause damage to the tool, workpiece or the machines. In the automated handling process, the SCHUNK monitoring modules offers an effective instrument for process reliable production, and preventing expensive downtimes in production.

The anti–collision and overload protection device SCHUNK OPR–048 has been particularly designed for use on small robots. Due to minimal reaction times, the module reliably prevents damage from collisions or overloads. An automatic reset ensures that the robot can be put into operation immediately after an emergency stop or a manual intervention.
