The company was founded by Dr. Hans Kraus in 1939 in Portschach am Worthersee, Austria. Initially, they focused on producing wheeled chests and sack trucks made of wooden art. After 11 years, Kraus shifted to manufacturing wheels and castors. In the 1980s, they specialized in roller conveyors and conveying equipment.

Now, with over 80 years of experience, Kraus offers a wide range of products suitable for conveyors and other equipment. This includes conveyor rollers, conveyor system components, lift tables, transport equipment, wheels, castors, and components for materials handling equipment, as well as works equipment.

Kraus manufactures conveyor rollers at their own in–house production facility, using modern systems and machines with quality–tested materials. No roller leaves the production facility unchecked.

Many national and international companies, such as Porsche, Vienna International Airport, Coca Cola, and Swarovski, have placed their trust in the high-quality rollers from Kraus' in–house production.
